Privacy Policy — Coocat Business

1. Introduction

This Privacy Notice for FusioncoreX Solutions LLP (doing business as Coocat) ("we", "us", or "our") describes how and why we access, collect, store, use, and share ("process") your personal information when you use the Coocat Business mobile application, or otherwise engage with us.

Coocat Business is a platform management app for caterers, cooks, and catering staff operating across Gujarat, India. It allows caterers to set up and showcase their business profile, build and manage their menu with packages and pricing, define their service areas, and receive and respond to catering inquiries and orders from customers — all in one place. Cooks can manage their professional profile, list their cuisine specialties and availability, accept or decline booking requests, and track their earnings over time. Both caterers and cooks undergo Aadhaar-based identity verification to ensure trust and safety on the platform, and receive real-time push notifications for new orders, quote updates, and booking status changes.

2. What Information Do We Collect

2.1 Account & Authentication Data

  • Name, email address, phone number, and password when you register an account.
  • Google account ID, name, and email address if you sign in using Google Sign-In.
  • OTP verification codes sent to your phone or email during login.

2.2 Caterer Profile & Business Data

  • Business name, description, cook/contact name, phone number, and email.
  • Business address, service cities, and GPS coordinates for location-based discovery.
  • Business logo and portfolio images.
  • Aadhaar number and Aadhaar front/back images for identity verification.
  • Cuisine types, menu items, packages, and pricing.

2.3 Cook Profile Data

  • Profile photo, gender, and date of birth.
  • Aadhaar number and Aadhaar front/back images for identity verification.
  • Experience, cuisine specialties, cook type, certifications, and culinary school.
  • Specialty dishes, portfolio images and captions.
  • Address, service radius, service cities, and GPS coordinates.
  • Availability and booking-acceptance preferences.

2.4 Business Transaction Data

  • Inquiries, quotes, orders, and bookings received from customers, including event details and pricing discussions.
  • Earnings and booking history tracked within the app.

We do not collect or store debit/credit card numbers or other payment card details within the Coocat Business app.

2.5 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device type, operating system, device identifier, and push notification tokens.
  • App version, log data, and crash/error reports for troubleshooting.

2.6 Permissions You May Grant

  • Location: to determine your business location, reverse-geocode addresses, and power location-based service area features. You may revoke this at any time in your device settings.
  • Photo library/camera: to upload your profile photo, business logo, Aadhaar images, and portfolio images.
  • Push notifications: to receive order, quote, and booking status alerts. You may disable these in your device settings.

2.7 Sensitive Information

Your Aadhaar number and Aadhaar document images are sensitive personal data under Indian law. We collect this only for identity verification and KYC purposes, with your explicit consent, and apply additional access restrictions to this data.

3. How We Process Your Information

We process your information to:

  • Create, authenticate, and manage your Coocat Business account.
  • Verify your identity through Aadhaar-based KYC and approve your account for onboarding.
  • Deliver the Services — displaying your business profile, menu, and availability to customers.
  • Forward customer inquiries, orders, and bookings to you and let you respond.
  • Send transactional notifications — order alerts, quote updates, booking status, and OTPs.
  • Track and display your earnings and booking history within the app.
  • Respond to support requests and resolve disputes.
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud and abuse on the platform.
  • Evaluate and improve our Services through internal analytics.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

4. When and With Whom We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as described below:

  • With customers: Your business profile, menu, pricing, availability, and portfolio are visible to customers browsing the platform. When you accept a booking, relevant contact and event details are shared between you and the customer.
  • Service providers we use:
    • Google Cloud Storage — secure storage for profile, business, and Aadhaar images.
    • Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — push notifications for orders and bookings.
    • Google Sign-In — optional third-party authentication.
    • Google Maps Platform APIs (Maps, Places, Geocoding) — to retrieve GPS coordinates, device location, and addresses derived from GPS, in order to power address selection, reverse geocoding, and service-area features. We cache your location on your device to support these features; you may revoke this by contacting us or by disabling location permission in your device settings.
    • Google Translate API — to support multi-language content (English, Hindi, Gujarati).
    These providers process data only as instructed by us and are bound by confidentiality obligations. Our use of information received via Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity under equivalent privacy protections.
  • Legal obligations: We may disclose your data if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Coocat, our users, or the public.

5. Do We Use Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies?

The Coocat Business app does not use browser cookies. The Google Maps Platform APIs we use within the app may store and access device-level identifiers and cached location data on your device as described in Section 4 above.

6. Do We Offer Artificial Intelligence-Based Products?

As part of the Coocat Business app, we offer an optional AI-based profile photo enhancement feature. When you choose to use this feature, your uploaded photo is processed by a third-party AI service provider solely to enhance image quality, and the result is returned to your account. We do not use this feature for any purpose beyond improving the photo you submit, and your input is not used to train any third-party model beyond what is necessary to deliver the enhancement.

7. How Do We Handle Your Social Logins?

The Coocat Business app allows you to register or log in using your Google account. If you choose to do so, we receive certain profile information from Google, such as your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not offer login via Facebook, X, or any other social media provider. We use this information only for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice. We do not control, and are not responsible for, how Google handles your information — please review Google's own privacy policy for details.

8. Data Stored on Your Device

The app stores certain data locally on your device using encrypted local storage, including your authentication tokens, cached profile information, and language preference, so the app continues to function smoothly and you remain signed in between sessions. This data is removed when you log out or uninstall the app.

9. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). We do not retain your personal information for longer than six (6) months past the termination of your account.

When we no longer have a legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will delete or anonymise it, or, where that is not immediately possible (for example, because it is held in backup archives), we will securely isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.

10. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?

  • Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
  • All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
  • Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel only.
  • Profile, business, and Aadhaar images are stored securely on Google Cloud Storage.
  • Aadhaar data is subject to restricted, need-to-know access within our organisation.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee that unauthorised third parties will never defeat our security measures, but we will notify affected users as required by law in the event of a data breach.

11. Do We Collect Information From Minors?

The Coocat Business app is intended for caterers, cooks, and catering staff who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18. By using the app, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age. If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will deactivate the account and delete the relevant data. 12. What Are Your Privacy Rights?

In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and applicable Indian law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data through your account settings or by contacting us.
  • Delete your account and personal data, subject to the retention obligations described in Section 9.
  • Withdraw consent for Aadhaar verification, location access, or push notifications via your device or app settings.
  • Nominate a person to exercise your rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity, as provided under the DPDPA.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@fusioncorex.in. We will respond within a reasonable time frame.

13. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features

Most mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") setting. As no uniform technology standard for recognising and implementing DNT signals has been finalised, we do not currently respond to DNT signals. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will update this Privacy Notice accordingly.

14. Do We Make Updates to This Notice?

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you by prominently posting a notice in the app or by directly notifying you. Continued use of the Coocat Business app after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
