Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

Coocat connects you with independent caterers and cooks ("Providers"). Cancellation and refund rules can vary by Provider and booking type. This page explains how cancellations generally work on Coocat and how to request a change or refund.

2. Before a booking is confirmed

If you send an inquiry or craft-menu request and the Provider has not confirmed the booking yet, you may withdraw the request at any time by contacting us or cancelling from your orders/dashboard where available. No payment is due for unconfirmed inquiries unless stated otherwise for a specific offer.

3. After a booking is confirmed

  • If a cancellation policy was shown at the time of booking (on the package, inquiry confirmation, or Provider message), that policy applies.
  • If no specific policy was shown, cancellations and refunds are handled case by case with the Provider and Coocat support, based on timing, menu preparation, and costs already incurred.
  • Same-day cancellations or no-shows may not be eligible for a refund, especially if the Provider has already purchased ingredients or deployed staff.

4. Changes & rescheduling

Need a different date, guest count, or menu? Contact us or the Provider as early as possible. Changes may adjust pricing and are subject to Provider availability. Large last-minute changes may be treated similarly to a cancellation and new booking.

5. Provider-initiated cancellations

If a Provider cannot fulfil a confirmed booking, we will help you find an alternative where reasonably possible. Where you paid through Coocat, eligible amounts may be refunded or applied to a replacement booking as agreed with support.

6. Refunds

Refund eligibility depends on the payment method, how much of the service was delivered, and the applicable cancellation terms. Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method where possible; timelines depend on the payment provider (bank or UPI).

7. How to cancel or request a refund

Please reach out as soon as you know you need to cancel or change a booking:

Include your booking or inquiry ID, event date, and Provider name so we can help faster.
